Features of Columbia Laminate Flooring

Quality construction, through and through
A truly high quality floor will have a minimum of 4 layers:
The top layer would consist of a transparent scratch and stain resistant wear layer with a high taber (wear-resistance) value.

Next would be the design layer, a melamine resin impregnated paper, having various patterns and designs ranging from woodgrains to stone to even more imaginative and decorative type designs.

Then would come the core, which would be constructed of a high quality, high density fiberboard, manufactured with a water resistant glue.

Finally would be the stabilizing layer or balancing layer. This layer is also impregnated with melamine resin and is of a thickness to balance the product, thus eliminating "cupping" or "warping".

Lifetime Structural Warranty (Includes Joint Integrity)
Columbia Flooring™ offers this Lifetime Structural Warranty for residential use, to the original Purchaser only, for as long as you own your home, and covers only approved product applications recommended by Columbia Flooring. Columbia Flooring warrants its products, in their original manufactured state, to be defect-free in regard to lamination, assembly, milling, and joint integrity. Joint Integrity states the joints will remain secure and that the planks will align properly.

Lifetime Performance Warranty (Fade-Stain-Wear)
Columbia Flooring warrants Columbia Classic™ and Columbia Clic™ for residential use, in their original manufactured state, to the original purchaser only, for as long as you own your home. Columbia warrants the surface will not wear-through, fade or stain under normal use.

Lifetime Moisture Damage
The Lifetime Moisture Damage Warranty covers topical moisture encountered during normal household use. Occurrences such as spilled liquids, wet shoes, or dripping when exiting the tub or shower will not harm the floor. The warranty covers only climate controlled residential interior installations. This warranty does not cover damages normally covered by homeowner's insurance such as flooding, leaking pipes or household appliances, hydrostatic pressure or natural disasters.

Columbia Clicette™ Warranties
Columbia Flooring™ warrants Columbia Clicette for residential use, in the original manufactured state, to the original purchaser for a period of 15 years.

Columbia Mouldings Warranty
Columbia mouldings will last as long as your Columbia floors. We warrant our mouldings with our lifetime warranty, which is unmatched in the industry. If your moulding should fade, stain wear-through or sustain water damage, under normal use, we will replace the moulding free of charge.

These warranties shall not apply to damage resulting from any of the following:
ACCIDENTS * ABUSE OR MISUSE * EXPOSURE TO EXTREME HEAT * IMPROPER INSTALLATION * IMPROPER MAINTENANCE

For commercial applications, the warranties for stain, fade, and wear-through shall be for a period of five (5) years from the date of sale. Commercial applications are not warranted for failure due to water or other moisture-related damage.

Your warranties mean that if any portion of your floor should fail with respect to any provisions of the above warranties, Columbia Flooring, at its sole option, to the original purchaser, will repair or replace the floor. And, if the floor was professionally installed, Columbia Flooring will pay reasonable labor costs.

COLUMBIA FLOORING WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER SCRATCHES OR DAMAGES CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, INSECTS, FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL THE MANUFACTURERS SPECIFIC WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, IMPROPER ALTERATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURED FLOOR, NATURAL DISASTERS OR ACTS OF GOD. COLUMBIA FLOORING ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
